Sony Ericsson is a joint venture established on October 3, 2001 by the Japanese consumer electronics company Sony Corporation and the Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson to make mobile phones. The company has its headquarters in Sweden and London, UK. The company has its research and development teams in Sweden, China, Japan, the US, Germany, Pakistan, India, and Great Britain.

Sony Ericsson’s sales of products very much increased after the launch on the market of the Walkman and Cyner-shot series.
